MOLDING TECHNICIAN

We are currently accepting applications for a Molding Technician at our Menomonie, Wisconsin facility.  

This is a full time position.     This individual will be responsible for product quality, integrity, and will maintain suitable process to meet our customers' requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
• Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency.
• Set up, start up, and change over production jobs consistent with process control capabilities.  
• Use proper process procedure documentation for performing routine set up functions and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot process, machine, and auxiliary equipment to ensure quality and eliminate downtime.
• Communicate important information to Mold Techs on incoming shift.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:
• Minimum of five years of plastic injection molding, processing, setup, and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Basic computer, reading, math, blueprint reading, and comprehension skills.
• Knowledge of plastic resins and resin drying systems.
• Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
• Must be flexible with work schedules and be available to work overtime on weekends if needed.
• Working knowledge of IQMS system is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

MOLDING MACHINE/ASSEMBLY OPERATORS

We are currently accepting applications for Molding Machine/Assembly Operators at our Menomonie, Wisconsin facility.

These are full time positions for our operations.    These positions include press operation, assembly, and packaging of product.

Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for machine operation to produce molded components consistent with pre-approved standards and practices.  This includes visually checking parts for changes in color, texture, and conformity with part standards.
• Handle and trim plastic parts.
• Package, label, and move product per procedures.    This may include automatic equipment as well as operator assisted equipment.
• Inspect parts and record results per procedures.
• Notify set up technician or supervisor of non-conforming conditions.
• Complete all required paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work place.   This is to include cleaning up all spills, water, resin, and any other debris from machines and floor area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:
• Must be able to speak and read English proficiently including good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to follow procedures and work instructions.
• One year plastic injection molding or similar machinery operation experience preferred.
• Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
• Must be flexible with work schedules and be available to work overtime on weekends with little advance notice.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

QUALITY ENGINEER

We are currently accepting applications for a Quality Engineer at our Menomonie, Wisconsin facility.

Summary:

Responsible for supporting the Quality Engineering needs of Manufacturing and Engineering.  Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of quality assurance standards, that adheres to cGMP, QSR and ISO regulations.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute and summarize validation and qualification protocols and associated reports. Interfaces with the customer on completion of these items.

  • Develop applicable quality inspection specifications and methods.

  • Develops and establishes quality systems and procedures, control plans, FMEAs, gage R&Rs, and inspection plans for proposals.  Ensures that project and/or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contract.

  • Identifies quality performance, trends and corrective action by coordinating with customers and suppliers.  Ensures compliance to specified quality requirements by performing in-house and supplier audits and surveys.  Develops and initiates programs to improve supplier performance.

  • Participates in non-conformance investigation, root cause determination, and corrective actions.

  • Refines and enhances products and processes by applying continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to critical areas of production.

  • Represents the company by interfacing with customers as well as assisting with internal and external audits.  May act as main contact in audit.  Develops and coordinates corrective action procedures and plans resulting from these audits.

  • Makes quality-related customer and vendor visits and contacts as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

     

    Education, Training, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering or Science discipline preferred

  • Competencies to include: analytical, team interaction and communication skills.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Quality Engineering functions is preferred with understanding of quality system standards (ISO 9001 or ISO 13485).

Summary:

Set up and process machines or equipment to produce quality parts with in the part specifications.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up, start up, and change over production jobs consistent with process control capabilities.  

  • Use proper process procedure documentation for performing routine set up functions and troubleshooting.

  • Troubleshoot process, machine, and auxiliary equipment to ensure quality and eliminate downtime.

  • Communicate important information to Mold Techs on new programs for production.

  • Perform first shot sample on new injection molds.

  • Perform Process Optimization of new injection molds.

  • Perform process validations.

  • Perform Design of Experiment Studies (DOE).

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

 

Education, Training, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of ten years of plastic injection molding, processing, setup, and troubleshooting experience.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.

  • Basic computer, reading, math, blueprint reading, and comprehension skills.

  • Familiarity with scientific molding methods.

  • Knowledge of plastic resins and resin drying systems.

  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.

SET UP TECHNICIAN

We are currently accepting applications for a Set Up Technician at our Menomonie, Wisconsin facility.    This individual will be responsible for product quality, integrity, and will maintain suitable process to meet our customers' requirements.

This is a full time position.  

Summary:

Good communication written and verbal. Must be able to coach and train employees to produce quality parts with in the standard cycle times and monitor equipment for safety measures and/or upgrades. Set up machines and equipment according to the Master Process. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and take molds out of equipment per master process

  • Operate injection molding machine

  • Inspect product according to quality plan

  • Identify molding problems and notify Molding Technician for corrections

  • Ability to apply problem solving methods for operational and non-conforming issues, this includes troubleshooting and evaluating molding processes within documented specifications.

  • Provide timely and detailed information to other supervisors, managers, and Mold Techs.

 

Education, Training, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Ability to lift fifty pounds
  • Ability to understand visual part aspects
  • Ability to understand basic safety standards and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Follow set up processes and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross functional teams
  • Ability to work weekends and attend occasional supervisory meetings when needed.
  • Paulson Injection Molding Training preferred
  • Forklift Certified

MOLD CLEANER

We are currently accepting applications for a Mold Cleaner at our Menomonie, Wisconsin facility.  This is a full time position.  

Summary:

Clean and perform minor tool repairs.

  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble all tooling per tool cleaning checklists. Identify tool damage and/or tool wear.
